Painful walking can be very common. It can be due to corns, callus or warts or sometimes other problems. Most patients would have tried some over the counter patch <pic> with varying degrees of success.
Sometimes, the appearance is obvious enough to make a diagnosis.
If it is a callus, <pic>, it will respond to changes in foot wear or the wearing of pads <pic>.
Sometimes, the diagnosis will not be so obvious, and the doctor will generally shave some of the dead skin down in order to give a proper diagnosis.
Usually, complete removal of these corns/calluses /warts, along with some modifications to the footwear, will treat the problem.
